Barbara Goldman, MA

Barbara Goldman created a collaborative approach to improving the lives of individuals with complex disabilities in the San Antonio area. A chance encounter with a blind student in eighth grade led Goldman to study special education at Syracuse University and Columbia University, focusing on educating those with visual impairments. After years of experience in schools bringing special education experts together to see ability first, Goldman founded TEAMability in 2003 to extend this team approach to providing services to families across San Antonio. As the therapy anchor for Morgan’s Multi-Assistance Center, TEAMability encompasses Goldman’s vision of developing each client’s unique abilities through Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy paired with expertise in Cortical Visual Impairment and Assistive Technology.
